April Update: Social Media Seminar, Website Launch & More
LET'S COLLABORATE
Social Media Seminar
I'm a list maker with a planner personality. I still prefer to use a hard copy spiral planner (in addition to our iPhone shared calendars for our family and business). But there's something about having a pen in hand and checking off that list, am I right?
I am outnumbered 3 to 1 with our littles (all age 6 and under), so I often have to curb that inner voice which demands I be "productive" in order for my day to have value.
I learned to redefine productivity with more humorous to-do lists like, "Keep everyone alive!" (Check!) but I also pause in the moment to remind myself, whatever task I'm doing now, is the job God gave me RIGHT NOW.
This lets me breathe, as I let go of whatever other tasks I am unable to accomplish and embrace where I am. It also frees me up to focus. So if I'm working on a project, I'm all in. I bring all my ideas and creativity to the table. And if I'm entertaining, feeding, washing, or catching up with my kiddos – I'm all in there, too!
When it comes to keeping up with social media, as a small business owner you might feel overwhelmed or unsure what to even post! That's what this upcoming Social Media Seminar is all about! The Hondo Chamber of Commerce invited me to speak on Tuesday, May 3. It's a combo of three of my previous workshops at Marken, so at $10 (for non-members, free to HCC members) it's a steal.
Tuesday, May 3
from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Location: South Texas Regional Training Center
Hosted by: Hondo Chamber of Commerce
Cost: Free to HCC members, $10/person for non-members
