Marken Hosts Local Art Show in Devine

April 12 & 13, 2019 - Devine, Texas

Marken Media Co., operated by Marcus and Kennan Buckner, hosted a FREE event to the community featuring talented artists from Medina County. The exhibit included a variety of artwork from locals - from modern, abstract, and impressionism.

Marcus and Kennan operate their multimedia company, Marken Media Co., within the 1800-square-foot space that once was part of Schott’s Model Market in downtown Devine, Texas. The couple renovated the building’s interior by exposing wooden beams, high ceilings, and brought their industrial modern style to create a multipurpose front room, meeting room/photography studio, and recording studio in the space.

With the help of friends, family, and community members, the couple also painted the exterior brick wall to create the #DevineColorWall to inspire locals to show their Devine pride and share their creative photos using the hashtag.

Co-owner Kennan Buckner says, “The art show was a chance for local artists and hobbyists to share their talent with the community. Marken’s theme is ‘Create. Collaborate. Celebrate,’ and we were thrilled to help local creatives share their work with the world.”
